Baseball Hall of Fame #1

A week ago yesterday Lindee, Jeff, & I loaded up at 5:30 AM and headed to Midlothian, where we met Boo to join him in his truck, left our car at Andy & Amy’s, & hit the road for Cooperstown.  We did take about half an hour to visit with Liz and McKenzie, who brought donuts for us to share, and got to our Airbnb in Utica about 9 that evening.  LONG day – but SO worth it.  We headed out early the next morning to set up our chairs for the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony the next day, and then spent most of the day at the actual Hall of Fame.  Just so cool.  Here is the front – like Lindee said, it truly is a baseball lovers mecca.

I just cannot say enough about all the cool exhibits. Jeff and I are really wanting to go back for another visit when it’s not Hall of Fame weekend, just so we can spend more time in the museum when it isn’t so crowded. I had been before, twenty years ago when Phil Niekro was inducted, but just didn’t remember at all the very cool exhibits about very early baseball. Loved it.
