…was last night, and she had quite a crowd there cheering her on. I got this group photo of her afterwards with her fan club. Jackson was also there, but doesn’t much go for pictures

Every Tuesday since the pandemic began, or around then, Historic Brattonsville has hosted a Zoom Time Travel Tuesday, about all kinds of interesting historic topics pertaining to the local area. This week it was about the beginning of the temperance movement in York County. The first temperance societies were started in the country in 1826, and by the 1850’s were going great guns in this area. This lady is so knowledgeable, and such fun to listen to. I hope I remember to watch them more regularly.
We have been having so many rainy days lately that we have spent a lot of time working jigsaw puzzles – one of our very favorite indoor activities. Here is one of the Disney set that Jeff got me for Christmas, to celebrate our trip to Disney World. This one was 750 pieces.
That afternoon I spent a good part of the afternoon watching the Rover Perseverance landing on Mars. I was so excited about it happening – it was kind of emotional for me when it touched down. This is not a very good picture of the lady who was giving us the play by play on what exactly was happening. So, so very cool.
Yesterday Meg & I went out to eat breakfast at the Virgin Bean Coffee Shop in town, and then went walking at Roosevelt Park. I had not been to Roosevelt Park since June played softball there probably five or six years ago, and they’ve added a nice walking track around the fields. We really went, though, because the children’s librarian in town had put up at Story Walk, and we wanted to check it out. The book she used was so good, and we were so happy at how good it was holding up with the torrential downpours we’ve been having lately. So was the children’s librarian, Miss Tina, when we told her about when we stopped by the library afterwards, to pick up a book they were holding for me.
