Yesterday Andy drove down from Winston-Salem, and he & I drove out to Camp Cherokee, where Lesley & Connor are getting married next month, so Andy could check out the setup for the traditional Uncle’s Brunch that will be held the morning of the wedding. We met Adee, the wedding coordinator there, and had a good time meeting Will, the camp director, who had known Lesley since she was very, very young, and is the older brother of one of Emma, one of Lesley’s bridesmaids. Lesley took pictures of the amphitheater where the ceremony is to be held last year when Connor’s parents had come over for the engagement and they all went out to check out the camp – but I loved seeing it for myself. It is such a Lesley kind of place for her to have her wedding. It is going to be so much fun.
There is a brand new lodge at the camp – the ribbon cutting was just last spring, and this is the first wedding that will be held there – where the reception will be held. I am even more excited about the festivities now that I’ve seen the location!
