Home at Last

Just getting home from the hospital wore him out, and he said that night he wondered if he should have stayed another day, but it sure was good to have him back at the house again.

At the Hospital

I didn’t take many pictures while Jeff was at the hospital at all – a couple to send the kids and his siblings – but did get this one when Andy & Amy came to spend the afternoon. I only had my phone, so of course it’s not very good, but it was so good to see them.

Car Detailing

Charlie and his friend Wesley have started up a car detailing business, and I hired them to come over one day last month to get my car all cleaned up. Believe me, they earned their money that day. My camera was dead, but I did get this one picture with my phone. They did a great job – it looked fantastic.

At Lig’s Shower

A few weeks back I traveled with Addie and June to Mt Airy for a baby shower for Olivia and Taylor, and Baby Calloway who is due now in just over a month. I didn’t get many pictures at all, but did get this cute one of Addie with Baby Calloway’s cousin Frankie. So cute.

Undecorating the church

I don’t like undecorating after Christmas at all, and in fact Jeff mostly does it at our house, but I did go over the evening that we were working on it at church. We had tons of help, so it was a pretty smooth process. That’s Clara on the ladder and Lindee keeping a close eye on her while she gets the high ornaments and topper off the big Christmon tree in the lobby.

Jigsaw Puzzle

With Jeff being laid up we’ve spent a good deal of time working on jigsaw puzzles recently. This one as a challenge. When we got the bottom part with the lighthouse done Jeff said we ought to just stop there & not finish the sky, which did turn out be be pretty challenging. We persevered, though, and got ithe whole thing done.

Sunrise

This past month has been so crazy that I have gotten virtually no pictures taken, and certainly none downloaded from my camera or posted. I took this one a few weeks ago. Friends post absolutely beautiful pictures of the sunrises over their fields on Facebook, but we have so many trees that I can’t usually get the view that they get. This morning, though, it was so huge and beautiful it was bigger even than the trees!

Supper with Lesley

Lesley was in York County for a few days for Christmas, and last night she came and joined us for supper, along with others who could be here. We had a great time. Folks stayed for a couple of hours while we visited and talked and laughed, and then after everyone else was gone, LP stayed until almost midnight for us to do our own catching up. It’s always so special to spend time with her. Here are a couple of pictures.

Family Gathering

The kids and grandkids were all here Monday evening for our Christmas gathering. I was so busy having fun I didn’t get a single group picture, even of the grandkids, but snapped a couple of group photos when we were sitting around opening presents. Here are out babies doing some catching up…

And Charlie with his Uncle Lee. Great, great times…
