Gran – Vaccine #1

Saturday Andy was with Gran for the weekend, so we got her to Doctor’s Care in Rock Hill for her first Covid vaccine. It really was a pretty painless procedure. Easy for me to say, I know, but other than her arm being a little sore, she hasn’t had any bad effect at all. Praying that will be the case with the second one, too.

Time Travel Tuesday

Every Tuesday since the pandemic began, or around then, Historic Brattonsville has hosted a Zoom Time Travel Tuesday, about all kinds of interesting historic topics pertaining to the local area. This week it was about the beginning of the temperance movement in York County. The first temperance societies were started in the country in 1826, and by the 1850’s were going great guns in this area. This lady is so knowledgeable, and such fun to listen to. I hope I remember to watch them more regularly.

With all the rain we’ve had this month, Jeff & I have had plenty of time to be working puzzles. We thought this one was going to be really hard, but as it turned out, it was not at all. 500 pieces. Fourth of July.

Puzzling Activity

With all of the rainy days we’ve had lately, Jeff & I had plenty of time to work the entire set of Disney puzzles he got me for Christmas, to celebrate our then upcoming trip to Disney World. Puzzles are one of our favorite bad weather activities.

We have been having so many rainy days lately that we have spent a lot of time working jigsaw puzzles – one of our very favorite indoor activities. Here is one of the Disney set that Jeff got me for Christmas, to celebrate our trip to Disney World. This one was 750 pieces.

That afternoon I spent a good part of the afternoon watching the Rover Perseverance landing on Mars. I was so excited about it happening – it was kind of emotional for me when it touched down. This is not a very good picture of the lady who was giving us the play by play on what exactly was happening. So, so very cool.
