Monday night Lindee & I were at the library in town for a cooking class that we absolutely loved. We all took turns going up and helping the teacher with different steps while making the Chickpea Coconut Curry – and then we all got to eat it for supper. Delicious and so much fun.
Sunday Lindee & I headed back to Columbia pretty soon after church was over for the final tournament games. I got this picture during the first game of the afternoon, which Clover won 2-0. That’s Clara right in the middle of the picture, in the orange shoes.
In the second, and championship, game, Clover came up a little short, but the girls seemed pleased with their runner-up trophy. Clara is in the back row, third from the right.
Saturday morning Jeff still wasn’t up for spending the whole day at the soccer field, so I rode to Columbia with Lindee for the excitement. Got this picture of Clara in action on the field. Sherri came up to meet us and watch the game, but now it’s school soccer. We can’t just go & grab Clara for a quick picture with her aunt before she has to head home. Clover won 1-0.
We did cross paths with the team after the match, and I grabbed this quick picture of Clara. They were off to eat lunch (so were we, just not together) before their second game of the tourney. Clover lost that game 2-0, and I didn’t get a single picture of that one, but it was exciting, too.
Now that all of my grandchildren are teenagers I am so thankful for friends who share their new baby grand ones. Last Friday I went over to visit my buddy Sherry & to meet her grandson Harry. I held him while he napped for about 45 minutes, and then got this picture really quick when I was getting ready to walk out the door.
When Jeff & I were at the podiatrist last week, when we got the good news that he would be able to keep all of his toes, they had the cutest decorated window in their office. It was such a happy day, and this cuteness added even more to our visit.
Yesterday morning Jeff & I were in Rock Hill to see Adam and his Woodland teammates pull out a close one in their final game of the season. As usual I am terrible at getting action shots, so just have this one of Adam walking down to defend under the basket.
I loved that they put their first names on their jerseys this year, so I got this photo after the game of Adam & his lifelong buddy Kaden. See, all these years I figured it was Caden with a C. These shirts are so helpful 🙂
Last night was the Valentine Dance at the Ninth Grade Campus. Lindee & Mallory picked me up, & we headed over to the house of one of their friends. Another mom was picking the girls up from their after-school soccer uniform pickup, and they went to a couple of different houses to shower, and then all met up at the house where we were to get dressed for their big evening. Mallory was there to help with hair, too. She’s working on Brooke’s hair here while Brooke’s mom is doing her makeup, and you can see Clara in the mirror doing her makeup, too – Mal had already finished with her hair.
Clara looked absolutely gorgeous, and the report when they got home was that everyone had an absolute ball.
Jeff has been doing a great job with his walking to start exercising his foot and leg, and to build up his strength. Last week he found these sweet little crocuses popping up beside the driveway. So pretty!
