Last week I heard that Clara’s senior banner had been hung up at the stadium, so Thursday evening I agreed to work at the concession stand for the freshmen & JV games so I could get in there to see it. I thought it turned out so cute.

Last week was the all-region golf tournament. Clara played great on the front nine – tied her lowest score of the year – but sort of fell apart on the back nine. Clover’s team still qualified for the Upper State tournament, though, which is where she is today. She didn’t want too many spectators, so we are just waiting for updates as she plays. I got this picture last week – teeing off to kick off the match.

I have not done a single creative thing, I don’t think, since I stopped keeping the grandkids probably four or five years ago. This weekend, though, Jeff has been getting out our Halloween decorations, so when I got home from church today, this meal seemed appropriate to go along with that. And I’d had this recipe saved for years for just such a day as this :-). I thought they turned out pretty cute :-).

I fin.
ished this puzzle last night, & I love it. The Yarbroughs gave it to me for Mother’s Day – June picked it out, I understand – but I didn’t start working on it until late in the summer. It is so pretty. I wish the picture had turned out better – the entire light blue part around the outside of the picture of the state flowers is a map, which was a different sort of challenge than putting the flowers together. Great fun.

Tuesday evening was Clara’s final home golf match of her high school career – another emotional evening. The team had decorated the cart that her parents rode in, even down to the ribbons on the posted that they hung on it. I loved the attention to detail.

Playing her final hole in her senior t-shirt. So special.

Quick picture with her good friend and teammate Mailey after the match. It was a very special evening.

Last night was the annual Choralier spaghetti supper fundraiser at the high school, and we enjoyed watching Clara and the rest of the Choraliers perform – as always. Every year they finish up the show with the same song, The Garden Song, and every year they invite former Choraliers to join the choir on the risers to sing that song. This year, being Clara’s last year, Addie agreed to go down and sing with her. It was just a tad emotional for their mother and grandmother, to put it mildly.

Clara does love being in this group.

Last week we were at Waterford, in Rock Hill, to see Clara in action. She shot her lowest score ever in a school match, her dad told me – a 41. We were so proud and excited! And that was in spite of ending up in the rough on this hole :-).

The girls had new t-shirts to wear, in honor of Shea Hall, the softball coach at the high school who is fighting cancer. I was proud that they were showing their support.
