Mason’s Basketball Game

Thursday evening we were back in Rock Hill, this time at Dutchman Creek Middle School, to watch Mason and his 7th grade basketball teammates in action. Here he is, in the white, going up for the jump ball to start the game.

The Blue Eagles went down in defeat, but they are improving every game. I got this (not very good) picture of him with this teammates, watching the 8th grade in action.

Our New Driver :-)

Mallory and her mom stopped by Wednesday evening to show off her brand new driver’s license. She is so excited, and we are so proud. When I picked them up yesterday to take them to school, Mal drove my car 🙂

Adam’s wrestling match

Last night Jeff & I were back in Rock Hill, this time at Castle Heights Middle School, to watch Adam and his fellow Sullivan wrestlers in action. Adam had a really intense match, and ended up winning 1-0. I’m pretty sure it was the closest match we ever saw him wrestle. He’s the one in blue in this action photo.

Afterwards. So proud of this guy.

Mason’s first basketball game

Actually he had a game earlier, but we weren’t able to be there, so this week was the first game we saw. I am a terrible basketball picture taker, obviously. You can barely see Mason’s head behind the shooter, with his hand up to block the shot. He did block two shots during the game, and made a basket, so we were proud of that.

Another action shot – he’s #32 in the blue, right in the middle of the picture.

Christmasville

Jeff & I were back in Rock Hill this afternoon, again to see June dance, this time at the annual downtown holiday celebration, Christmasville. The stage was small, & there were a lot of dancers on there, but they did a good job of giving each one a chance to shine.

June was more agreeable to getting her picture made afterwards, and this time was showing off her dance company Christmas sweatshirt.

June’s Winter Recital

This morning Jeff & I met Addie, Lee, & Mason in Rock Hill to watch June in her Christmas dance performance. It’s not a fancy recital like the one will be in the spring – they all just wear their dance studio t-shirts and black shorts for all of the dances – and it wasn’t even an hour long, I don’t think, but was fun to watch, and they did a great job. That’s June in the back on the right.

She didn’t want me to make her picture after the show was over, and she got tickled trying to get away from the camera 🙂

Adam’s 1st wrestling match

Wednesday evening Jeff & I met Andrew & Jenny at Sullivan Middle School to cheer Adam on in his first wrestling match of the season. It was a three way match with Clover Middle and Nations Ford. Here are a couple of action photos of Adam wrestling against Clover, before pulling out a victory on points. Nations Ford didn’t have anyone in his weight class, so he won by forfeit. He was NOT happy about that – he likes that wrestling. Adam is in the royal blue.

Grinch!

Tuesday evening we were at the auditorium in town to see Mason perform with the Clover Middle School Christmas choral program: Grinch! It was the cutest thing, and they just did an amazing job. I couldn’t believe it. So proud of these kids. I got a couple of pictures.

Mason is right in the middle of the back row.
