Saturday Pix

Saturday we finally got out of the house, when the roads had cleared from all of the crazy weather recently. In the morning we went to see Adam and his church league basketball team in competition. They got behind by a good bit, but then came all the way back to within four points, but couldn’t get it any closer than that. I did get this picture of Adam shooting a technical foul shot.

Then late that afternoon we headed out to Lindee & Jackson’s, to see Clara off to her final military ball. Clara loves to dance, but her boyfriend Wade does not, so she decided this time to go with her girl group, so she could dance the night away. They all looked so pretty, and from the report I got from Mallory this morning, had a good time. More pix to follow.

Puzzle #3

We have really been working our way through our stash of puzzles during this bout of winter weather we’ve had lately. This is a 1000 piece one that our friends Jenny & JT gave to us – actually dear, dear friends of Lindee & Jackson’s. Lindee hates a jigsaw puzzle, so they definitely didn’t want it passed on to them 🙂

Clearing the Deck

I got this picture of Jeff yesterday afternoon when he started shoveling the 9″ of snow that we got off of our back deck. That is a very rare chore for him around here.

Snow Day

Saturday it was snowing when we got up in the morning, and snowed all day long until after dark – very, very rare for Clover, SC. There was a huge hawk lurking around the yard looking for lunch, but everything was hidden under the 9 inches we ended up getting.

I got this quick picture of Jeff when he went outside to grab our snow for snow cream and to measure our accumulation on the deck. You can see he has grocery bags on his feet – we don’t own snow boots in our neck of the woods :-).

Second Winter Storm Puzzle

This one was just 500 pieces, so only took Jeff & me a day or two, working together. I got it from a church friend, who gave it to me when her mother – also a dear church friend – died, so it is special to me, too.

First Ice Storm Puzzle

Very thankful that Andy & Amy shared this puzzle with us when we saw them sometime recently – it kept us busy for several days while the cold and ice were keeping us in the house. St Thomas – 1000 pieces.

Working a Puzzle

Jeff & I have spent a good bit of time during these recent cold days working on a jigsaw puzzle. This is his normal puzzle working stance. I do not know how his back or neck stand it, but I’ve seen him standing like this for two hours at a time to get the pieces right. To each his own, I guess – right?

After Adam’s Game

We were in Rock Hill Saturday to watch Adam playing church league basketball again, and it was their first defeat of the season – by two points in overtime. It was an exciting game, needless to say. I got this picture after the game: Coach Andrew, Assistant Coach Charlie, and Adam. Fun times.
