The altar at church

I keep the early service nursery at church on Sundays, and yesterday Sarah Robinson was in there helping me, along with her son AJ & niece Robinson. Ms. Meg came by & got the kids to all go with her to help set up the altar for the contemporary service.  It was covered with broken pottery, and of course Tommy’s sermon for the day was on the way we are all broken vessels.  He even broke a clay pot during the sermon itself, and we all took a piece, wrote our name on it, and attached it to a board there, to symbolize how broken we all are.  It was very cool – as was the fact that the kids got to help with the altar.  Meg says it’s their church and their privilege to serve is.  I love that.
