We didn&#8217;t go last year &#8211; Covid just made us too nervous &#8211; but we went for a few days this year.  So much fun.  We spent one day in Southport, a port city maybe 45 minutes north of Sunset Beach, and had a great time.  The visitors center had a great museum with lots of history about the town, including information about this author who grew up there.
