What a good time last Friday was.\u00a0 We tried making peanut brittle with June and Mason that afternoon.\u00a0 It had turned out so yummy with Mallory & Clara a couple of weeks before that I thought we’d try it again.\u00a0 We were going to try making some pretzel brittle though, since June is allergic to peanuts, and I thought we’d give the microwave recipe a try.\u00a0 I’d heard so much about how good and easy it was.\u00a0 That did NOT turn out to be the case for us.\u00a0 We burned up two batches before we gave up!\u00a0 Here is June, though, when we thought it still might be a success \ud83d\ude42\"untitled\"<\/a><\/p>\n

That evening, Jeff & I went with Joe – the guy I work for – and his wife Sandy to see their son Slade perform with his band, Amigo, in Charlotte.\u00a0 He & Andrew grew up together, & were very good friends when they were little.\u00a0 Joe & Sandy had asked us several times to go with us to see him, but it just had never worked out, so I was glad we finally got the chance to go.\u00a0 There were three bands, & it was Slade’s birthday, so he got to pick out which bands he wanted to play with his.\u00a0 They were all very good, & we had a fun, very late :-), night.\u00a0 Here is Slade afterwards with Joe & Sandy.\u00a0 It was such a fun evening.\"untitled\"<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
