{"id":4710,"date":"2018-10-16T12:33:16","date_gmt":"2018-10-16T12:33:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/?p=4710"},"modified":"2018-10-16T12:33:16","modified_gmt":"2018-10-16T12:33:16","slug":"american-museum-of-the-house-cat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/?p=4710","title":{"rendered":"American Museum of the House Cat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past weekend my friend Charlotte and I went on our annual birthday trip, and spent a long weekend in the Bryson City, NC, area.\u00a0 We had a great time &#8211; as always &#8211; and our first stop was the American Museum of the House Cat.\u00a0 I love a museum of any kind, and Charlotte and I have found some very interesting ones on these annual adventures.\u00a0 This one certainly was :-).\u00a0 It was two rooms just filled with every single thing you could imagine about pet cats.\u00a0 There were maybe a couple of tigers in there, but mostly every single display was of a house cat.\u00a0 This is one of probably ten or twelve shelves he had just of wind up toys from over the years.\u00a0 We were really lucky in that the owner was our tour guide, so it was very interesting &#8211; and he wound up a couple of toys for us.\u00a0 Definitely something to see!<a href=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_3714.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4708\" src=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_3714-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"735\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_3714-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_3714-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_3714-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_3714-690x518.jpg 690w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_3714-980x735.jpg 980w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 980px) 100vw, 980px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I really liked this shelf of cats. Their eyes followed you in every direction. I had seen that in flat paintings before, but never really in a statue that I can remember.
