{"id":4081,"date":"2018-04-11T12:18:01","date_gmt":"2018-04-11T12:18:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/?p=4081"},"modified":"2018-04-11T12:18:01","modified_gmt":"2018-04-11T12:18:01","slug":"donald-davis-storyteller","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/?p=4081","title":{"rendered":"Donald Davis, Storyteller"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This past Sunday afternoon my friends Evelyn, Pam, and I headed to Lancaster after helping clean up after communion at church.\u00a0 We drove around McDonalds for a quick lunch, and got to the Lancaster County Arts Center in plenty of time for the afternoon show.\u00a0 The facility was so cool &#8211; the original Presbyterian church, built in 1861.\u00a0 The chairman of the board there shared some of the history of the building, which was very cool.\u00a0 Union soldiers occupied it in 1865; different churches used it; it fell into disrepair before the arts council took it over and is in the ongoing process of restoring it.\u00a0 So cool.\u00a0 I meant to take more pictures before we left, but I started talking and completely forgot.\u00a0 There&#8217;s a surprise.<a href=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_0977.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4079\" src=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_0977-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"735\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_0977-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_0977-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_0977-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_0977-690x518.jpg 690w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_0977-980x735.jpg 980w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 980px) 100vw, 980px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Donald Davis is an incredible storyteller. I had heard him the year we went to the Storytellers Convention in Jonesborough and loved him then. He&#8217;s only gotten better in the years since.
