Mallory&#8217;s #1 place she wanted to visit while we were in Washington.\u00a0 Almost the first thing we saw were Dorothy&#8217;s Ruby Red Slippers from the Wizard of Oz &#8211; one of the things she most wanted to see.\u00a0 When her friend Lacy Emma was in Washington a year or so ago, the slippers were out on loan, so we didn&#8217;t know if we&#8217;d see them or not.\u00a0 This was an exciting discovery for us \ud83d\ude42<a href=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/get-attachment23.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-287\" src=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/get-attachment23-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"get-attachment\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/get-attachment23-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/get-attachment23-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/get-attachment23-690x920.jpg 690w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/get-attachment23-980x1306.jpg 980w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of my favorite displays at the museum was the hall that included items from the 1960&#8217;s.\u00a0 It was just so much the story of my childhood that I loved every thing about it.\u00a0 All around on the floor were newspaper headlines from those decades &#8211;
