beach trip is always such a highlight of my summer.\u00a0 This year it absolutely was a whirlwind.\u00a0 The others went a little earlier, but Pam, Sherry, &amp; I didn&#8217;t get down there until late Wednesday night &#8211; Sherry &amp; I both kept grandkids all day that day &#8211; and we headed home early Friday morning, but you just have to take what you can get when you&#8217;re trying to accommodate so many different schedules.\u00a0 This year, particularly, since Becky had rotator cuff surgery Friday afternoon.\u00a0 The Thursday we were there, though, was a beautiful day.\u00a0 The town of Sunset Beach has a brand new park, with a lovely Veterans Memorial in it.\u00a0 Here was the Navy kiosk.<a href=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/100_9142.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2223\" src=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/100_9142-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"100_9142\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/100_9142-683x1024.jpg 683w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/100_9142-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/100_9142-768x1152.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/100_9142-690x1035.jpg 690w, https:\/\/bigmamasdaycamp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/100_9142-980x1470.jpg 980w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After Becky &amp;
