I&#8217;m so glad we went when we did, because she quit the next week.  She really had no idea how much time the team would take up, and although she loved it and loved her coaches and teammates, she didn&#8217;t like having to miss so many classes for the different events.  They were very understanding, and the coaches told her if her schedule is less hectic next semester, she would always have a place on the team, which I thought was so kind.
