Wednesday in Montana

Wednesday was the last day we spent at Glacier National Park.  Liz left early that morning to head to Portland to a conference, and soon after that the rest of us left for the park.  We dropped Olivia off to join a guided hike to Avalanche Lake, and the rest of us just drove up the Going-To-The-Sun Road, stopping wherever we wanted to ogle the scenery.  We did that so many times that we only got a little over half way over it before we had to turn around & go back to meet Lig, but oh, the scenery.  It was a beautiful, sunny day that day, and it was just amazing.IMG_20160622_103520

At one point there was a tunnel that had little cut outs in the side of it that you could go through to sort of hang off the side of the mountain and look at the scenery. You had to park past the tunnel and walk back, which was a little nerve wracking on that crazy road, but there was a nice sidewalk for that very purpose. And the views were incredible. We shared photo taking with another family from California that was in there. There just aren’t enough superlatives to describe this place.IMG_20160622_122303
