Today Meg & I met for breakfast, & then went out and spent the morning walking around the trail at Kings Mountain National Battlefield. I hadn’t been out there literally in years, and it was so interesting refreshing my memory about the details of the battle by reading all of the plaques. We thought this one was especially interesting, where the Colonels and other officers told them not to wait for orders, to just go ahead and start fighting as they saw fit. Not exactly the way we feel like the armed services are taught today.
Then this evening was Charlie’s first track meet ever for Rock Hill High School – a scrimmage against Fort Mill. His first event was the 4 x 800 relay – he ran the first leg. So proud of him.
