At Penland’s Christmas Tree Farm

Sunday afternoon after church we headed out to meet Andrew, Jenn, & the boys at the tree farm to get our Christmas tree. Of course we had to take advantage of the photo op with Charlie and Adam right there near the front.

We decided we wanted to check out the trees in the furthest field – the Christmas Mint – so we had to walk a ways to get there. Luckily the rain had stopped and it was a beautiful day.

Group Photos

Andy & Amy brought gifts for all of the young people – great Christmas accessories. So much fun. From left are Mason, Adam, Mallory, Clara, June, & Elise

Our family group photo. Lee, Mason, Addie, Andrew, Jenny, Adam, me, Jeff, Mallory, June, & Clara. We surely missed the ones who weren’t there, but it surely was a special day.

Filling Socks

Friday night Mallory and Clara spent the night with us. Lindee had to work on Saturday, so they slept over so they could go with us to our Smithmas the next day. They arrived in their PJ’s, & we had leftover turkey sandwiches for supper, watched The Grinch and a Christmas episode of Bones, had hot chocolate, and they helped fill the socks we were taking for our annual sock exchange the next day. Fun, lowkey evening.

Thanksgiving 2022

Got this picture of the girls before everyone started heading home: Mallory, Clara, Elise, Little Hope, June.

And Meg got this one of Mallory and me. As always, just such a special day.

Military Ball

This evening was Clara’s first ever Military Ball. I met them at Elise’s house, where Leesy fixed her hair. She looked so, so pretty.

I got her to stop so I could take a picture of her shoes before she got in the car to head out. Beautiful head to toe.

Veterans’ Day Sunday

Our church has a very strong Veterans Committee, so we always have a very meaningful Sunday near Veterans’ Day. Last Sunday all of the veterans who have bricks in our memorial park were marked with a flag.

This banner was inside the lobby of the church.

HoCo :-)

Saturday night Clover High was finally able to have their homecoming dance. The homecoming football game was about a month ago, held early on Thursday night, since there was a possibility of tornadic weather the next day. Due to that weather, the dance was postponed until last weekend. Mallory and her friend Tara came by our house to show us how beautiful they looked on their way.

With her proud mom, who had been chauffeuring her all over town all afternoon & evening to get dressed with friends, have supper, and then to Tara’s house for pictures before they stopped by here. Special evening.
