Homecoming 2022

Last night was Clover High School’s homecoming game – moved up a day due to the weather from Hurricane Ian that was due to arrive today – and did in a big way. Each senior boy sponsored a senior girl to be in the homecoming court, and Mallory was sponsored by Jack Haynes. She really did look so beautiful. We got this picture before the game.

As well this one of her with her proud mom and dad. More pix to follow.

Wednesday Night Football

Wednesday night was Sullivan Middle School football, and this time they played at the big District 3 Stadium in Rock Hill. Pretty exciting for these guys. Adam, #54, was one of the captains for the game, so that’s always exciting to see.

Sullivan played hard, but lost for the first time this season. I think the final score was 26-12. They played hard until the end, though, so we were proud.

Tuesday activities

Jeff was at the beach for Bike week until this past Thursday, so Tuesday I drove out to watch Mallory in action on the golf course, along with her mom & her Uncle Andrew.

From there it was straight to the ballfield to see Mason in action. This not-very-good picture is of him playing off on third base. Fun evening.

Decades Day

Wednesday when I got there to pick Mallory and Clara up to go to school, I found out it was decades day. The ninth grade was to dress from the seventies…

…and I’m not gonna lie, I can’t remember if the seniors were the 90’s or the 2000’s. Either way, Mal looked cute. Ha.

Spirit Week

When I got to Lindee’s house Tuesday morning to take the girls to school, I found that Mallory had spent the weekend working on her poster to go on the car she would be riding in for the homecoming parade. She figured out, after she’d made the sign, that she’d spelled Sponsor wrong, so had painted over it & would rewrite that later. I thought she did a good job.

It was space cowboy day for Spirit Week, and the kids were supposed to dress up like cowboys or like space men. Mal went with the cowboy look. And she was a cute one :-). It was ROTC inspection day for Clara, so she didn’t get to participate that day :-(.

Courtney’s Baby Shower

Last Sunday we celebrated the upcoming arrival of my dear friend Sherry’s new grandbaby, Harry. Becky was in charge of all of the decorations, and it was just as cute as could be. She made us all look good. It was a jungle theme, since they are going with Lion King for the nursery decor. The table centerpieces were just so cute.

And so was the area near the gift table where Courtney sat to open her presents. Here is the momma-to-be before she started with that activity. Those are quotes from The Lion King hanging on the vine behind her. Just so, so cute.

Cameron Cheering

Last Friday night I was at the Clover football game – but sat on the visitors’ side. One of my very best besties, Evie, has a granddaughter who cheers for Boiling Springs, and I was so excited to finally get a chance to see her in action. We got this picture when she came up to visit with us at halftime.

Cameron was a gymnast for years before she switched to cheering, so I asked if she was going to do any flipping while she was cheering. And she agreed to go down and do some for me during halftime. Didn’t get great action shots, but so much fun watching her.

Final Senior Night Pix

Sherri comes up on Wednesdays to spend the day with Gran, so she was here to come celebrate Senior Night, too. I got this picture of her with our senior before she had to hit the road for Augusta.

We got this picture of the seniors with their fat heads before everyone left 🙂

Senior Night

With all of the festivities going on at the golf course on senior night, it was easy to lose sight of the fact that there was also a match going on :-). Mallory had the lowest score and Clover won the match, so it was a perfect Senior Night for our girl.

Usually there’s nothing so excited as snacks, and certainly not gifts, when the match winds down 🙂
