Fun Friday

What a good day we had yesterday.  I spent the morning at church, making all the jello for our Festival of Tables to be held on Sunday.  It also gave me a chance to get a sneak peek at the tables that were already set up, including this one that I absolutely loved – Bunny Party 😉

When I got home Meg was here decorating for Hope’s graduation party – Hope had asked if she could have it here. We got a little bit done, and when she left to run errands Jeff & I took naps before Adam got here to spend the night – Andrew was chaperoning a lock-in with Charlie at church. As soon as he got here Adam was ready to help with supper, including shredding the chicken for burritos. He’s a good cook!

Thursday Afternoon

I have been meaning all year to stop and get Clara’s picture with the Spirit Rock at her school, so when I picked her up yesterday we made it happen.  That’s their school motto for the year painted on there.  Then just as I snapped the picture, Mr Moss – the teacher who works the pick up line – called her, and she looked over. 🙂

I took our salad maker and all the fixings for the girls to try out in making their afterschool snacks. We couldn’t get it to work any better than it did when June and Mason used it, but again, it was a good activity :-). Here is Mal filling up her bowl from the salad bar 🙂

Spiral Hotdogs

Wednesday afternoon when June & Mason got here after school we cooked spiral hotdogs on the grill for snack.  Here is Mason getting his dog on the skewer.

The finished product. You’ll notice I only got a picture of one – because Mase had already started chowing down on his before I could get my phone out 🙂

Bethany Field Day

Monday I spent the day at Bethany Elementary School.  During the morning, while the younger classes were out taking part in the field day activities, I helped Lindee man the PTO hotdog sale.  Then in the afternoon, when Clara and her third grade classmates came outside, we went over to watch all her activities.  Such a good day.  Here she is getting to the bottom of the giant inflatable slide.

Mrs. Hodges class won the third grade tug-of-war. They were so proud!

Busy Saturday

Jeff was, of course, not feeling up to doing much still on Saturday, but I headed into town to take in the kids’ soccer games. Both the girls and Mason played at the same time, so I only got to see the girls, but did manage to get this picture of all of them together after the games were over.

That evening Mallory and Clara had their join family birthday party. This is the only picture I ended up taking the entire evening – of the girls opening their presents.

Hand Repair

After spending almost a year going to doctor’s visits and physical therapists, Jeff finally had his thumb surgery yesterday.  Everything went well, and now, over 24 hours later, no pain yet.  We’re hoping that keeps up, but we shall see!

Making salads

I got a new salad maker recently, so the kids and I gave it a try for their afternoon snack Wednesday.  It didn’t work great, but it was a fun activity.  Here is June washing her ingredients to get started.

Cousins Playing Soccer

Tuesday evenings I finally got to see both June and Clara play soccer.  I’ve been to couple of games Clara played earlier – one with her new travel team, and one with this town team when June had a program at school and wasn’t able to be there.  So I was glad to finally be able to see them play together.  June was goalie during the first half, and then in the second half she had a throw in right in front of us.

Got their picture together after the game. They did a good job 🙂
